Lara Gasparotto & Dareck Tuba - Looking for Vivi - Ludion 2020
This booklet has been published in a limited edition on the occasion of a collective exhibition held in 2019, Cercle des beaux-Arts, Liège. Curated by Paola Basika the idea was to brought together three artists with different backgrounds and upbringings, but united by the same story: Lara Gasparotto, Dareck Tuba and Léonard Pongo.
Through photography, video and archive's documents from the Africa Museum of Tervuren and the International Slavery of Londres, they tried to tell the story of the first capitals of the colonial Congo: Vivi and Boma, where the country's first cathedral was built, the first railroad was made and the oldest prisoner of conscience were locked up.
