Martin Kippenberger - Peter 2 - Galerie Peter Pakesch 1987
Rare first version, unsigned and unnumbered, of the famous catalogue accompanying the exhibition in October and November, featuring the beginning of a conversation between Joachim Lottmann (question) and Michael Krebber (answer) about Martin Kippenberger and illustrations of 14 sculptures from the exhibition, which were created in 1987. Kippenberger found the print quality of the first edition too dark, so sales were discontinued after a few copies had been distributed and a new print with a modified cover was produced, featuring facsimiles of Kippenberger's corrections (too black). Krebber, one year younger than Kippenberger and married to Cosima von Bonin, was his assistant for a year. The catalogue is dedicated to Evelyn Oswald (1955-2000), the partner of Kurt Kalb (1935-2022), who supported Pakesch and Kippenberger.
