Karl Wirsum Drawings 1967-1970 was published in conjunction with an art exhibit of the same name at Derek Eller Gallery. In the late 60s, Wirsum exhibited in a series of influential group shows called The Hairy Who, with such artists as Jim Nutt, Gladys Nilsson and Art Green. The Hairy Who were a Chicago-based group contemporaneous with Pop Art. This show was assembled from Wirsum's voluminous archive of sketchbooks dating from the Hairy Who period.
