Description
Georg Ettl's work has dealed with controversial aesthetic issues. They are presented through imagery that appears as precise as it is playful. Each work is an argument in a series of contradictory or complementary motifs. The seriality and complexity of the works form the basis of a coherent development that does not produce quick results. In his search for meaningful means of expression, he takes the risk of working in conflict with art-historical positions in a manner linked to motif. Published on the occasion of his solo exhibition, 08.12.1977-15.01.1978, this box-seted catalogue contains 5 printed cards, 4 leaflets, 1 leporello, an introduction to the exhibition by Johannes Cladders and an exhibition's index.
