In 2021, Comme des Garçons collaborated with Chris Marker’s archive, with designer Rei Kawakubo incorporating his photographs into limited-edition catalogs and storefront installations in New York and London. The images come from both his vast archive, now held at the Cinémathèque française, and the 2007 exhibition Chris Marker: Staring Back, which showcased his remarkable ability to document activism and social movements.
